Here is how doing it yourself compares with having an APVI visa specialist review your file before submission.
The DIY path
- Choosing the right visa type: You choose the visa type yourself.
- Invitation letter review: You judge whether the invitation wording is acceptable.
- Application form accuracy: You interpret embassy form instructions on your own.
- Passport and photo requirements: You verify validity, blank pages, and photo specs alone.
- State and jurisdiction requirements: You research which consulate covers your state.
- Medical, background, or apostille steps: You may not know whether these apply to your visa.
- Embassy or consular submission: You manage submission logistics yourself.
- Shipping and status tracking: Limited visibility once documents are in the mail.
- Human support: A small error can delay travel or business timelines.
