Yes. Federal law requires first-time adult applicants to appear in person at a passport Acceptance Facility or Passport Agency. We schedule the appointment and prepare everything you need to bring.
Typically a certified U.S. birth certificate (with raised seal) or a Certificate of Naturalization. Hospital birth certificates and photocopies are not accepted. Your specialist confirms what works for your case.
