No, since E-visas for Brazil are processed entirely electronically, you do not have to send in any physical documents to APVI.

E-visas can be obtained easily without having to go anywhere in person, and will save you time that you would otherwise spend at the consulate or port of entry.

The e-Visa provides the convenience of being able to apply from your Desktop, Laptop or Mobile phone.

The e-Visa is electronically issued and will not be stamped on your passport.

The e-Visa is usually valid for 2 years from the date of issue, or until the expiration date of your passport, whichever comes first. Regular consular visas may be valid for longer, depending on your nationality.

The Brazilian e-Visa application is available exclusively for Australian, Canadian, American or Japanese citizens, while a wider range of nationalities can apply for the Regular Visa.

Your e-visa application is processed electronically, and you will receive your e-visa from us via email in PDF format. Custom officers at the border should be able to verify your visa in their system, but we advise to print the visa and bring a physical copy with you when you travel in case of any failure in their systems.
